Hey folks, it’s me again, but there’s no WIAW post today!
I know, I know… shocking right? 😉 But I figured I talked enough about food this week, so I decided to switch it up a bit.
Sooo, today I was inspired by Cori’s blog and decided to do a fun running survey. Thanks Cori!
#1. Would you rather bike 100 miles or run 100 miles?
I’m a bit of a wimp… the thought of running a whole 100 miles just scares me. I’ll take biking it out for $200, Jim! 😉
#2. Wear TOO many clothes and then have to carry them because it’s too hot or wear TOO little clothes and endure a little coldness?
Ha! My hubby will know the answer to this one… I am ALWAYS cold. I must have the thinnest blood known to man, so I’ll def. choose to wear TOO many clothes, even if it means carrying a few of the items because it’s too hot.
#3. Would you rather run without your GPS or without your Music?
On the treadmill, I’d rather run without a GPS 😉 – I need my music to get me through the monotony! But on outdoor runs, you can keep the music, and I’ll take the GPS. Scenic views are more than enough to distract me…
except when running up hills maybe.
#4. Would you rather run socially or run competitively?
Well, the mini-competitor in me says competitively, but I know better. I actually have much more fun just running socially. When I sign up for a race, all my brain wants to do is WIN, so it’s in constant argument with my body, who knows that that’s probably NOT gonna happen. Ya know, with me still being a newbie runner and all, with quite a way to go with increasing my speed. Don’t worry… it doesn’t stop me from signing up for more races though.
#5. Would you rather start a race in the front or in the back?
Because of #4 (see above), it’s always best for me to start in the back. Yep, learned that the hard way when I ran my First 5K…starting in the front. Gotta love my ambition. 😉
#6. Would you rather run a race to raise money for a charity or in remembrance of someone?
Wow, either sounds like GREAT reasons to run, but if I had to choose, I’d say the first reason. The next race I’m running is a “Run for Shelter” race that will benefit those who are homeless. There’s nothing more worthwhile than doing something you love (like running) for an even greater purpose. 🙂
#7. Would you rather have an awful race experience and PR or have the time of your life and NOT PR?
So, I’m REALLY torn on this one. Even on my WORST running days, I’m still so glad I did it, afterwards. Those endorphins are real! So, despite my body’s objections, I will go with rather having an awful race experience and PRing! I can have more than my share of enjoyable runs when training,
says my brain. Of course, this is coming from someone who’s only run one 5K so far, and has never had “said awful experience.” So, this answer may very well change in a couple of months, after more time and experience running. But hey, at least, I’m honest!
Annnddd there’s MORE to come! See ya on Friday folks!! 🙂
Feel free to comment answering all or any of the above questions! Inquiring minds (like mine) wanna know!
