What I Ate Wednesday #5 goes Green… sort of ;-)

Woohoo!! Today is my 5th “What I Ate Wednesday” and I decided to go a little green… Al Green, that is. 😉 Allow me to explain… Some of my most treasured moments are mornings spent with my hubby, fixing breakfast. Well, this morning, he was singing a song that he said reminds him of me. Hmmmm… I was intrigued, but still couldn’t figure out the song he was singing. Then he found it on youtube (gotta love technology!) and played it…

I, I’m so in love with you
Whatever you want to do is all right with me
‘Cause you make me feel so brand new
And I want to spend my life with you

Yes, yes… it was Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.” Needless to say, I’m ALL smiles this morning. So, let the “Green” 😉 WIAW begin…

Breakfast, 7 AM

I still wasn’t too hungry this morning, so a banana with a little organic/natural peanut butter did the trick!

Mid-Morning Snack, 10 AM

I just may have a new favorite Chobani flavor… YUM!!!

Lunch, 12:30 PM

Turkey and cheese sandwich on whole grain sandwich thins… I’ll take it!

Afternoon Snacks

A recycled picture, yes, but had to note that the granola bars are still in rotation!

Dinner, 7 PM

Please tell me this plate made you hungry… just a little. Dinner consisted of my Easter dinner leftovers… roasted chicked, garlic & herb potatoes, fresh steamed broccoli and cheese and home-made buttermilk biscuits! Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. Happy Wednesday folks!

Anyone else enjoyed Easter dinner leftovers this week?

What are some quirky ways that you “go green”?
